Jimmy Vivino, Bandleader for CONAN Joins The KnightCrawlers On Stage

The KnightCrawlers were thrilled to have Jimmy Vivino join them on stage at The Orange Lantern in Paramus on January 14, 2012. Jimmy and bassist Dirk Vuijst grew up together in Glen Rock, NJ, and played in bands together in their formative years. The band celebrated Dirk's birthday at the Orange Lantern show, and Jimmy stopped in after his own gig in New York City to reunite with his old friend Dirk, and wish him a happy birthday. Thirty-five years had gone by since the two last played together, but that span of years ended when Jimmy joined Dirk and the band in a burning rendition of The Doors' Roadhouse Blues.

Also in attendance to wish Dirk well was drummer Frank Pagano who also played with Dirk, Jimmy, and his brothers, "Uncle" Floyd and Jerry Vivino. Frank's talents have recently been on display performing with Annie Haslam and Michael Dunford in Renaissance, as well as his previous work with Bruce Springsteen, Smashing Pumpkins, Bette Midler, and Barry Manilow to name a few. Frank can also be seen playing with Steely Dan guitarist Jon Herrington in the The Jon Herington Band.

The KnightCrawlers Toys for Tots Benefit - November 13, 2011

The KnightCrawlers were very happy to be the one and only band to entertain at this year's Marine Corps Reserves' Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run, hosted by The Orange Lantern in Paramus! More than 200 riders participated in this year's bike run. Attendees donated over 1200 toys, and more than $14,000 to the program. This huge success was only possible by many people and organizations coming together - with hearts of gold - with the needs of children in mind! Thanks to everyone who came out in support of this event.
